Harvey's Brewery is renowned throughout the South East of England for its wonderful range of traditional cask ales.
These ales are unpasteurised and are known as the champagne of beers. This is achieved by selecting the finest raw materials and combining them with unique ‘local’ conditions brewed within a traditional brew-house.
We have Sussex Best, Dark Mild and Old on tap, and our seasonal ale changes regularly.
June 2018 seasonal ale is Copperwheat. Brewed with malted wheat and barley, this ‘Kristal Weissbier’ contains only English aroma hops. The gentle texture of the wheat subdues the soft hop bitterness and imparts a suggestion of cloves. ‘Copperwheat’ is named after the fictitious Lewes brewers in Mrs. Dudeney’s novel ‘Seed Pods’ (1927).
